“ Food was delicious!! Well cooked and nice flavored. Also, great customer service, Friendly very attentive. Very pleasant vibe. ”
“ I havn't eaten there is quite some time, since my business travels to southern MD had ended. But I am so glad to read the reviews and STILL doing it the old fashioned way: home cooking, fresh ingredients, and a friendly "down-home: staff! The frying pan was always my first meal of the week in Southern Md 2021 update: Just had the opportunity to visit Calvert County again and immediately had my first breakfast at the frying pan. Had Country Fried Steak, with eggs homefries and toast. Wow! Best CFS anywhere! ”
“ This is an old-school, no-frills Mom and Pop type of place, but the food is tasty, prices are great, and we had no complaints about the service. Note - they do not service breakfast all day, but there's plenty to chose from on the lunch menu. I would definitely go back. (I was a little disappointed they were out of onion rings) ”
“ Delicious lil dive. They were understaffed but worth the wait. Coffee was strong and excellent plus we got lots of refills despite how busy it was. Pancakes, bacon, sausage, chipped beef gravy, fried potatoes and scrapple on our table were perfect. Plus I love the art on the walls, charming. ”
“ It feels authentic here... I liked the chicken tender and my wife enjoyed the prime steak. Steak wasn't the best, but it was great compared to the price they charge. ”
“ I'm SO glad we came here for breakfast. The toilet in our hotel flooded at 5:30 am, so we (me and mom were staying in Solomons Island to celebrate her bday) were already up and decided to go to breakfast early. This was the only non-fast food place and it opened at 6am. We hopped in the car and there by 6:15. Heather, our wonderful and gracious server, was a delight so early in the morning. Not only was the service good but the food, coffee and even the water (well water) was SO good. I generally do not like sausage patties but this sausage was A M A Z I N G. I'm serious. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Heather warned us that the potatoes were good. Potatoes are my favorite carb so I didn't trust her. She was right lol. I could eat a whole plate. Also, the coffee was soooooo good. If you like pancakes, skip the place that rhymes with Izop and come here. I'm glad we went early because we were told it was favorite of the locals. I can see why and hope to eat there again before we leave. ”
“ I’m happy to have stumbled upon this spot. Great food and great people. ”
“ When I travel places I hunt down the greasy spoons. The mom and pops that are out of the way and no one takes the chance to try. Because they are the BEST! I've been to the diners in NY, CA, TX, SC, NC, TN and many many more(even a few overseas) and this lil place makes rank with others in being good!!! For 25 I got me a good breakfast of eggs, potatoes, corn hash and French toast! Coffee was strong and black like I wanted. Only thing I'd change is I wish I was able to jump more into the locals conversations. They were talking crab and fishing, boats and other places to eat. Locals are usually the best source of information of where to go! ”
